Wow, can you believe it's been 10 years? We never thought we'd be throwing together a party that mixes three of the most fun cultures in the world right here in Mexico!
Welcome to your first Mexican-Hungarian-Arab wedding!
JARDÍN AGUA VIVA
We're excited to meet you at Jardin de Eventos Agua Viva! Please try to arrive on time, as Brigi has to be the last one to arrive. If you're driving, we've got you covered with private parking and valet parking service. If you need a shuttle, we'll have a few pickup spots: Fiesta Americana San Antonio el Puente, Fiesta Inn, and downtown Cuernavaca. Just let us know in the "Transport Assistance" section of the RSVP if you need a ride from one of these spots. The shuttles will head out at 3:30 PM!
HAPPENING
"THE BRIDAL DANCE"
Also known as the “money dance”, the bridal dance involves all guests and the bride. Traditionally, the father, best man or a master of ceremony would announce that the “bride is for sale” while Hungarian wedding music plays in the background. He would hold a bucket or a hat to collect money from all the guests to “pay” for the privilege of dancing with the bride (usually just a couple of seconds of spinning her around). This was supposed to be a way of providing the bride money for their honeymoon and the couple’s new life. In our case, we will only use the money symbolically and each of our guests will have an opportunity to dance with the new bride. The last to dance with the bride would be the groom.
"THE RED DRESS"
During the folk dance and while the bride is away, she changes into a traditional folk outfit known as “the red dress”. The bride then comes back after the folk dance, dressed in red as the “new woman”.
DRESS CODE
No specific dress code is required but we would appreciate if you could wear this style.
